Really ... All the parties speak about fairness especially when is about benefits, but the system will never be fair for aslong as the ones on the 'dole' will always be better off.
Example: A lifetime unemployed 30 year old receives a £3000 tax rebate, still receives full housing benefit, full council tax benefit and his JSA. The tax was paid as JSA is taxable, but this was public money and he was given it, wasn't earnt he had never worked a day in his life, this tax rebate should have been made to the public coffers.
Example: A low income earner, below the income threshold can not receive assistance with anything whilst in receipt of working tax credit despite income being less than that of someone on JSA or I.S. The same low income workers wife falls pregnant and can get a £190 maternity grant, if stops working that will be £500 on JSA, and also will need to stop work to qualify for help with anything, JSA I.S just fill in a form get cash help.
There is no assistance to help someone who is working to get a better job, but it's ok, stop working spend 6 months on JSA and job centre will pay for it.
When can we vote for none of the above?
